Tiramisu in Glasses
Tiramisu in glasses is a modern, elegant take on the classic Italian dessert — quick to prepare and always impressive! The secret to its velvety texture lies in well-beaten egg yolks, and with OVOBOX, this task is made as easy as possible. Use them to make a delicate mascarpone cream with a subtle hint of your favorite coffee — we guarantee everyone will ask for seconds!
Ingredients (for 5 servings)
- 500 g mascarpone cheese
- 150 ml OVOBOX liquid egg yolk
- 80 g sugar
- 250 ml strong, cooled espresso coffee
- 2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur (optional)
- about 200 g ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- cocoa powder for dusting
Preparation:
- Brew the coffee and set aside to cool. Mix it with the amaretto liqueur if using.
- ŻEgg yolks and sugar: In a bowl, beat the OVOBOX liquid egg yolks with the sugar until light and fluffy — preferably with a mixer, for 5–7 minutes, until the mixture is pale and slightly aerated.
- Mascarpone: Add the mascarpone cheese to the yolk mixture and mix on low speed until smooth.
- Layering: Briefly dip the ladyfingers in the coffee and arrange them in glasses or a dish. Spread a layer of cream over the biscuits. Repeat until all ingredients are used (ideally 2 layers).
- Chilling: Place in the fridge for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).
- Serving: Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder using a sieve.
